Samsung may make their innovative Privacy Display technology standard on every Galaxy S27 series model in 2027, according to reports by TheElec. According to these reports, this means all four S27 models – S27 Plus, Pro, Ultra and the more affordable S27 FE will all have access to it – while Privacy Display was previously only available with Ultra models of their Galaxy S26 lineup. This would mark an expansion from what was available only with this Ultra model of their previous lineups (Galaxy S26 series).

Samsung first debuted this technology with their S26 Ultra and its Flex Magic Pixel feature, which dynamically controls OLED screens so those viewing from the side see darkened displays while those directly in front get unobstructed views – an effective strategy against shoulder surfers in public settings.
First version was immensely popular but initially struggled with consistency issues; those issues have apparently since been ironed out and we can expect that second-generation version, known as S27 series, to deliver smoother and more reliable experience for consumers.
One industry source noted that making Privacy Display standard across their flagships demonstrates its significance for Samsung; no longer only available with Ultra, Privacy Display is now part of premium Galaxy experience.
Samsung may gain an important competitive edge from this decision, particularly against Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 18 series. As people become more protective over their data, being able to protect it in public spaces like cafes, trains or meetings is truly useful.
The S27 lineup (expected early next year) will also introduce a compact “Pro” model. While we still await full specifications and details about it all, privacy display enhancement is sure to make an impressionful first impression!
As concerns over privacy grow, features like these could play an increasingly crucial role in buying decisions. Samsung appears confident enough in this technology for it to become part of their flagship range and push other industries towards adopting similar methods.
