Huawei has previewed its upcoming Pura X View smartphone and has now opened pre-orders for the device in China, with the wide-screen phone confirmed to officially go on sale later this month.

The Huawei Pura X View is confirmed to be available in three configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB RAM with 512GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 1TB storage, giving buyers a consistent 12GB memory allocation across all storage tiers.
The device will be available in four color options: Phantom Night Black, Leaping Shadow Red, Linen Grey, and Zero Degree White.
A Distinctive Wide-Screen Display
One of the Pura X View’s standout features is its display design. The device features a 6.39-inch display with a resolution of 1,320 x 2,232 pixels, reaching an exceptionally high peak brightness of 6,500 nits, along with 2,160Hz PWM dimming aimed at reducing eye strain and screen flicker.
What makes this display particularly distinctive is its unusual 16:9.5 aspect ratio, noticeably wider than the standard aspect ratios found on most smartphones, giving the device a more tablet-like viewing experience. The panel also achieves a 96.1 percent screen-to-body ratio, with remarkably thin 1.05mm bezels running along all four sides.
According to Huawei, this wider display format is specifically designed to offer an improved viewing experience for activities like watching videos, reading, and gaming, where extra horizontal screen space can make a genuine difference in usability and immersion.
Dimensions and Battery
The Huawei Pura X View measures 6.68mm in thickness and weighs 201 grams, keeping it reasonably manageable in hand despite its wider-than-usual display format. The device is equipped with a 7,000mAh battery, a substantial capacity that should comfortably support extended use throughout the day.
Software
The Pura X View ships with HarmonyOS 7.0, keeping it current with Huawei’s latest operating system release.

At this stage, Huawei hasn’t revealed pricing details or full rear camera specifications for the Pura X View. However, early rumors suggest the device will feature a triple rear camera setup, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor along with a telephoto camera, though additional details on the full camera system remain unconfirmed.
