The wave of smartphone price increases sweeping across India’s electronics market continues to grow. According to tipster Debayan Roy on X, following earlier price hikes from Vivo, iQOO, Oppo, OnePlus, Redmi, and Poco, three more major brands, Xiaomi, Realme, and Samsung, have now raised prices across several of their devices by as much as ₹4,000.
Xiaomi Pad 8 Gets Costlier, Pad 7 Discontinued
Xiaomi has increased pricing on its Pad 8 tablet by up to ₹3,000. The updated pricing now stands as follows:
- 8GB + 128GB: ₹38,999
- 12GB + 256GB: ₹43,999
- 12GB + 256GB (Nano Texture Display variant): ₹48,999
Alongside this price increase, Xiaomi has also reportedly discontinued the previous-generation Xiaomi Pad 7, suggesting the company is fully shifting its tablet lineup focus toward the newer Pad 8.
Realme Raises Prices Across Multiple Devices
Realme has also implemented price increases across several devices in its lineup. The Realme 16 Pro+ has seen a ₹4,000 price hike, now starting at ₹53,999, while the standard Realme 16 Pro has similarly increased by ₹4,000, now starting at ₹44,999.
Additionally, the Realme 16 5G, Realme 16T 5G, and Realme C83 5G have each received a smaller ₹1,000 price increase, affecting a broader range of the company’s lineup beyond just its higher-tier Pro models.
Samsung Increases Pricing Across Its Budget Galaxy Lineup
Samsung has also raised prices across multiple entries in its budget-focused Galaxy M and F series.
The Galaxy M17 5G has seen tiered price increases depending on configuration, with the 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM variants increasing by ₹1,000, ₹2,000, and ₹3,000, respectively. The Galaxy M17 5G now starts at ₹18,999.
The Galaxy F17 5G has similarly increased, with the 6GB and 8GB RAM variants going up by ₹1,000 and ₹2,000, respectively, bringing the Galaxy F17 5G’s starting price to ₹22,999.
Samsung’s Galaxy F70E and Galaxy M17E have also been affected, with the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants increasing by ₹1,000 and ₹2,000, respectively. Both the Galaxy F70E and Galaxy M17E now start at ₹17,499.
