Samsung Electronics has introduced a new lineup of kitchen appliances, including updated Slide-in Ranges and an Over-the-Range Microwave, both featuring the company’s Air Fry Max technology. The new lineup focuses on combining advanced cooking features, a more cohesive kitchen design, and smart connectivity, aimed at making everyday cooking easier while also appealing to buyers who entertain more frequently at home.
The Slide-in Ranges are available in both electric and gas configurations, giving buyers flexibility depending on their kitchen setup and cooking preferences.
Air Fry Max Aims to Simplify Crispy Cooking
One of the standout features across the new lineup is Air Fry Max, designed to help users achieve crispy, golden-brown results without needing to preheat the appliance first. The feature relies on high temperatures paired with powerful convection fans to deliver faster cooking times while still achieving the texture and flavor typically associated with deep frying, but with less oil and effort involved.
Beyond air frying, the ranges also include True Convection for more even, faster baking, along with a feature called Air Sous Vide, which uses precise heat and airflow control to help retain moisture and flavor, aiming to bring restaurant-style sous vide cooking results into a home kitchen setting.
For buyers choosing between electric and gas models, the electric range includes a 3.6kW Express Boil cooktop with dual-ring elements designed to accommodate different cookware sizes, while the gas version features a 23,000 BTU Dual Power Burner intended for faster, high-heat cooking tasks like searing, sautéing, and boiling.
Design Details Focused on Kitchen Cohesion
Beyond cooking performance, Samsung has also emphasized design consistency with this release. The new Slide-in Ranges share the same handle design used across Samsung’s 2026 refrigerator lineup, allowing buyers to create a more visually unified kitchen if they’re using multiple Samsung appliances together.
The ranges also include illuminated precision knobs that light up whenever the cooktop is actively in use, giving users a clear, immediate visual indicator of whether a burner is on, a small but practical safety-oriented touch. The built-in display is designed with usability in mind as well, aiming to make adjusting cooking settings more straightforward.
Another notable addition is the Soft Close Door feature, which allows the oven door to close smoothly and quietly rather than swinging shut abruptly. Whether closed with a hand or nudged shut with a foot while carrying dishes, the mechanism is designed to gently catch and guide the door closed, a feature Samsung compares to soft-close mechanisms commonly found in premium vehicles.
A Microwave Built to Work Alongside the Range
Samsung’s new Over-the-Range Microwave is designed to complement the Slide-in Range both in terms of appearance and functionality. It also includes Air Fry Max, meaning users can prepare multiple air-fried dishes simultaneously across both appliances, useful for larger meals or when cooking for guests.
According to Samsung, the microwave’s Air Fry Max feature can deliver results up to 15 percent faster, while its Convection Cooking mode circulates heat evenly throughout the cavity to help ensure more consistent cooking results.
The two appliances also connect functionally through a feature called Auto Connectivity, which wirelessly syncs the range and microwave together. For example, turning on the cooktop automatically activates the microwave’s built-in light and ventilation hood, reducing the need for manual adjustments and improving both visibility and airflow while cooking.
The microwave itself uses a slanted, ergonomic design, intended to give users a clearer view of the cooktop below while still blending visually with the rest of the kitchen.
Smart Features Through SmartThings Integration
Both the Slide-in Ranges and the Over-the-Range Microwave support connectivity through Samsung’s SmartThings platform. This allows users to monitor and control the appliances remotely through a smartphone app or compatible voice assistant, adding a layer of convenience for tasks like checking cooking progress without needing to be in the kitchen.
The SmartThings integration also extends to meal planning, with SmartThings Food offering recipe suggestions and meal planning tools designed to work alongside the connected appliances.
Availability
Samsung’s new cooking lineup is set to begin rolling out across North America starting in mid-July, with the Slide-in Ranges also expected to become available in select Latin American markets shortly after the initial launch.
