Samsung appears to be laying the groundwork for its next generation of budget smartphones in India. Ahead of any official announcement, three upcoming handsets — the Galaxy A08, Galaxy F08, and Galaxy M08 — have reportedly been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database, a step Indian manufacturers typically take shortly before a device’s public debut.

Based on the naming pattern and shared characteristics, this trio looks set to continue Samsung’s strategy of releasing closely related budget devices under different sub-brands for different retail channels, much like their predecessors did last year.

Three New Model Numbers Appear on BIS

The listings were first spotted by SammyGuru, with the Galaxy A08 appearing under model number SM-A085F/DS, the Galaxy F08 listed as SM-E085F/DS, and the Galaxy M08 carrying the model number SM-M085F/DS. The “DS” suffix attached to each model number simply confirms dual-SIM support, which is standard for Samsung’s budget lineup in India.

The BIS entries were published on Monday, July 6, signaling that all three devices are getting closer to an official Indian launch. That said, the certification listing itself doesn’t reveal any hardware specifications — BIS approval is primarily a regulatory and safety requirement, not a specs disclosure, so actual details will need to come from Samsung directly or through separate leaks.

What to Expect Based on Past Launches

Samsung has a well-established pattern with its budget A, F, and M series phones: the F and M variants are typically close hardware twins of the A-series model, repackaged and sold through different retail channels or platforms, often with minor differences. Going by that pattern, it’s likely the Galaxy F08 and Galaxy M08 will largely mirror the Galaxy A08 in hardware, with the trio collectively targeting Samsung’s budget price segment in India.

Likely Successors to the Galaxy A07, F07, and M07

These three new listings are widely expected to succeed last year’s Galaxy A07, Galaxy F07, and Galaxy M07, which launched in India in October 2025. Those models arrived with a 6.7-inch HD+ display, an IP54 rating for basic dust and splash resistance, and an octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

On the software side, the current-generation trio runs Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7 layered on top, and Samsung has committed to six years of both major OS updates and security patches for these devices — a notably long support window for phones in this price bracket. Camera-wise, the existing models feature a dual rear setup anchored by a 50-megapixel main sensor, along with an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. Battery capacity sits at 5,000mAh, with 25W wired fast charging.

What This Means Going Forward

Given how closely Samsung tends to iterate on this budget lineup year over year, the Galaxy A08, F08, and M08 will likely bring modest, incremental upgrades rather than a dramatic redesign — think a possible chipset refresh, minor camera improvements, or small battery gains, while keeping the overall price point accessible. With the BIS listing now public, more concrete details, including full specifications and pricing, should start surfacing in the coming weeks as the phones move closer to their official India debut.
