Xiaomi is reportedly considering bringing one of its Redmi K100 Pro series devices to India, according to a new leak, though it remains unclear at this stage which specific model the company might choose. If these plans move forward, Indian buyers could see either the Redmi K100 Pro or the Redmi K100 Pro Max launch in the country.

Since both devices carry genuinely strong flagship-tier specifications, here’s a full breakdown of what each model offers, in case Xiaomi decides to bring one, or potentially both, to the Indian market.

Redmi K100 Pro: Expected Specifications

The standard Redmi K100 Pro is rumored to feature a 6.59-inch flat OLED display with an unusually high 185Hz refresh rate, positioning it firmly as a gaming-focused device even within its own product tier.

Performance is expected to come from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V series chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, both representing current high-end memory and storage standards for flagship devices.

On the camera front, the Redmi K100 Pro is rumored to include a 200-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), paired with an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera offering 2.5x zoom. Notably, the telephoto lens is also said to support 10cm macro photography, allowing it to double as a dedicated macro shooter in addition to its zoom capabilities.

For durability, the device is expected to carry both IP68 and IP69 ratings, combined with a metal frame construction.

Battery life looks strong as well, with a rumored 8,580mAh cell supporting an extensive range of charging options: 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, 27W reverse wired charging, and 22.5W reverse wireless charging, giving users considerable flexibility both for fast recharging and for powering other devices when needed.

Adding a distinctive touch, the Redmi K100 Pro is also rumored to be available in a glow-in-the-dark special edition, a genuinely unique design choice that would help the device stand out visually from typical flagship color options.

Redmi K100 Pro Max: Expected Specifications

Stepping up to the range-topping Redmi K100 Pro Max, this device is rumored to feature a larger 6.9-inch flat OLED display with ultra-narrow bezels, continuing the flagship-tier positioning of the standard K100 Pro but with a bigger screen.

The Pro Max is expected to use the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, again paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

On cameras, the Pro Max is rumored to step up considerably, featuring a 200-megapixel HP5 sensor with OIS for the main camera, alongside a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 50-megapixel JN5 periscope telephoto camera offering 5x optical zoom with its own OIS support, a genuinely more ambitious camera system compared to the standard Pro model.

Build quality is expected to include a metal frame paired with a metal camera housing, giving the device a premium, cohesive design language throughout.

Battery capacity is rumored at 9,070mAh, an even larger cell than the standard Pro model, supporting the same comprehensive charging suite: 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, 27W reverse wired charging, and 22.5W reverse wireless charging.

Additional rumored features include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, an IP69 rating for enhanced durability, speakers tuned in partnership with Bose for improved audio quality, and a new light ring design element, likely similar to the pulsing light ring feature we’ve previously covered on this device.

What This Could Mean for Indian Buyers

If Xiaomi does move forward with bringing one of these devices to India, buyers would gain access to genuinely flagship-tier hardware, spanning high-refresh-rate displays, top-tier Snapdragon performance, versatile multi-lens camera systems, and unusually large batteries paired with extensive charging options. Whether Xiaomi ultimately chooses the standard Pro model, the more premium Pro Max, or potentially both variants for the Indian market remains to be seen.

As with all pre-launch leaks, these plans should be treated as still under consideration rather than confirmed, and specific details, including exact India launch timing and any region-specific hardware changes, would likely be announced separately once Xiaomi finalizes its decision.
