The Samsung Galaxy F70 Pro has surfaced on Geekbench ahead of its expected official launch, revealing several key hardware details about the upcoming device. The benchmark listing suggests the phone will share its chipset with the recently launched Galaxy M47, continuing a pattern Samsung has followed with closely related M and F series devices in the past. This latest appearance follows multiple earlier certification listings, further reinforcing that an official announcement could be approaching.

What the Geekbench Listing Reveals

A Geekbench listing for the Samsung Galaxy F70 Pro, carrying model number SM-E476B, has revealed several details about the phone’s internal hardware and software. According to the listing, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and running Android 16.

In terms of raw performance, the benchmark recorded a single-core score of 998 and a multi-core score of 3,090. The listing also identifies the device’s motherboard under the codename “parrot,” while the CPU configuration and Adreno GPU details line up with what’s expected from the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. Notably, this same processor recently made its debut in the Samsung Galaxy M47, reinforcing the idea that these two devices likely share a significant amount of internal hardware.

A Pattern of Pre-Launch Certifications

This Geekbench appearance isn’t the first sign that the Galaxy F70 Pro is nearing launch. Before showing up on the benchmark database, the device had already surfaced on Samsung India’s own website, the BIS certification portal, and the Bluetooth SIG database, each of these appearances typically serving as a reliable early indicator that a device is getting close to its official announcement.

Expected Display, Battery, and Camera Specifications

Earlier reports have suggested that the Galaxy F70 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. On the battery side, the device is expected to include a substantial 6,000mAh cell, supporting 45W fast charging.

For photography, the phone is tipped to include a triple rear camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization for improved shot stability. Additional expected features include NFC support, an IP64 rating for basic dust and splash resistance, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage, a solid, well-rounded spec sheet for a mid-range device.

Software and Design Expectations

The Samsung Galaxy F70 Pro is expected to ship with One UI 8.5, built on top of Android 16. Samsung is also rumored to extend its long-term software support commitment to this device, potentially offering up to six years of Android OS upgrades, a notably generous update window for a phone in this segment.

On the design front, the Galaxy F70 Pro could feature a leather-like textured rear panel, a design choice Samsung has used across several recent Galaxy F-series devices to help them stand out visually within the lineup.

A Rebranded Galaxy M47?

Samsung has a well-established history of releasing closely related Galaxy M and Galaxy F series devices that share much of the same underlying hardware, while distributing them through different retail channels. If Samsung follows this same approach here, the Galaxy F70 Pro looks set to serve as the F-series counterpart to the recently launched Galaxy M47, essentially offering similar hardware under a different branding and sales channel strategy.

Expected Pricing in India

An earlier leaked retailer communication suggested the Galaxy F70 Pro could be offered in three separate storage configurations. According to that leak, the 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage variant could be priced at Rs. 32,999, while the 8GB RAM plus 128GB storage and 8GB RAM plus 256GB storage variants may be priced at Rs. 36,999 and Rs. 41,999, respectively.

What to Expect Going Forward

With the device now having appeared across multiple certification databases and a Geekbench benchmark listing, an official announcement for the Galaxy F70 Pro appears to be drawing closer. As with all pre-launch leaks, final specifications and pricing should be treated as unconfirmed until Samsung makes a formal announcement, though the consistency across multiple sources adds a fair degree of credibility to what’s been reported so far.
