Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 renders show boxy, S24 Ultra-like design

Samsung is expected to release its latest foldable devices in a few months, following its usual hardware release schedule. As a result, we are now starting to see online renders of the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

The Z Fold 6 is rumored to have a larger cover display with a wider aspect ratio, which is a welcome change from the narrow aspect ratios of previous Fold models.

The upcoming Z Fold 6 is expected to feature a 7.6-inch inner display and will measure 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1 millimeters when unfolded. Moreover, it will have a 6.2-inch cover display. Compared to its predecessor, the Z Fold 6 will be slightly wider and shorter.

Both displays on the new Samsung Folds are expected to be Dynamic AMOLED screens and should support 120Hz refresh rates. As with the previous versions of the phone, the inner display will feature Samsung’s “ultra-thin glass,” while the cover screen will have the newer Corning Gorilla Glass Armor for increased protection. The foldable device could also have a higher peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits.

The Z Fold 6 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset and come with up to 16 gigabyte of RAM and 1 terabyte of storage.

The rear of the device will feature a triple-camera setup, which is likely to be the same as the one on the Z Fold 5. However, there are conflicting reports about whether the Fold 6 will have the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s primary 200-megapixel sensor. If it retains the same sensors as the Fold 5, we can expect a 50-megapixel main camera along with 12- and 10-megapixel cameras. Additionally, the Fold 6 will likely have a 10-megapixel selfie camera and a four-megapixel under-display camera on the inner display.

To keep the battery size and charging speed the same, it is suggested that the phone should be shipped with OneUI 6.1.1 based on Android 14 and get support for seven years of operating system and security updates. So far, this is all we know about the Fold 6 which is expected to be released in a late July or early August Unpacked event. As the release date approaches, we may learn more details about the phone through leaks and rumors.
