Apple and TSMC 3nm Chips: What It Means for Future Macs and iPhones

Apple has always focused on making its devices faster, more powerful, and more efficient. One major reason Apple products perform so well is the company’s close partnership with TSMC, the chip manufacturer behind many Apple Silicon processors.

A report from DigiTimes claimed that TSMC was preparing to begin 3nm chip production at its Fab 18 facility in Taiwan. Since Apple is one of TSMC’s biggest customers, it was expected to be one of the first companies to benefit from the new technology.

The move to 3nm was important because it opened the door for faster and more power-efficient chips in future Apple products, including MacBooks, iPhones, Mac Studio, and Mac mini.
