Google Pixel Fold — Google’s First Step Into the World of Foldables

Google announced their foldable smartphone, the Pixel Fold, at Google I/O 2023 on May 10, and released in the US for sale six weeks later on June 28, marking their inaugural attempt at such technology. Intended to provide users who prefer phone/tablet functionality a compact book-style device designed specifically to fulfill that need.

Key specifications of the Pixel C include its 5.8-inch outer display and 7.6-inch inner display; worldwide 5G support including mmWave connectivity; 48MP main camera equipped with 5x telephoto lens and ultrawide camera; UWB connectivity, wireless charging capabilities and IP68 water resistance rating; Google Tensor G2 chip powering it and up to 512GB storage – no card slot is included for expansion purposes.

Closed, the Pixel Fold functions just like any normal Pixel phone allowing users to respond to texts, browse Chrome and utilize Call Assist features. Fully opened however provides all the advantages associated with tablet use with Taskbar for switching apps quickly as well as multitasking support on splitscreen multitasking capabilities.
