Vivo has officially started selling the X300e in China today, following its initial unveiling on July 27. Buyers across mainland China can now purchase the device across all available storage configurations.
Vivo X300e Pricing
The Vivo X300e is available in two main configurations:
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage: 4,799 yuan, roughly $710
- 12GB RAM + 512GB storage: 5,299 yuan, roughly $780
Design and Display
For its price point, the Vivo X300e offers a genuinely premium build, featuring a unibody cold-carved glass construction with large rounded corners, giving the device a smooth, comfortable feel in hand. Vivo has paired this design with a 144Hz display featuring Zeiss Master Color tuning, bringing Vivo’s long-standing camera and display partnership with Zeiss into the visual experience as well, not just photography.
Camera System
On the back, the Vivo X300e includes a triple camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera, a second 50-megapixel secondary camera, and an 8-megapixel additional lens. The system uses Zeiss imaging tuning throughout, and includes dedicated shooting modes for telephoto stage photography, telephoto portraits, and telephoto landscape shots, giving users more specialized options depending on the specific scene they’re capturing.
Performance and Battery
Inside, the Vivo X300e is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The device also supports virtual RAM expansion, allowing it to borrow up to an additional 12GB of storage space to function as extra RAM when needed, a common feature on Chinese flagship devices that helps improve multitasking performance without requiring additional physical memory chips.
Battery life is handled by a substantial 7,200mAh cell, a strong capacity that should comfortably support all-day use for most users.
Additional Features
The Vivo X300e also includes several other notable features:
- Universal Smart Communication 3.0, Vivo’s proprietary technology aimed at improving overall signal handling and network stability
- Ultrasonic fingerprint 3.0, capable of unlocking the device even when fingers are wet, an improvement over standard optical fingerprint sensors that can struggle under similar conditions
- Infrared remote control, allowing the phone to function as a universal remote for compatible home appliances
- Full-function NFC, supporting contactless payments and other NFC-based interactions
- IP69 and IP68 certification, offering robust protection against both dust and water, including resistance to high-pressure water jets
- Stereo dual speakers, for improved audio output during media playback
- An X-axis linear motor, providing more precise and satisfying haptic feedback compared to traditional rotational vibration motors
On the software side, the Vivo X300e ships with OriginOS 6 out of the box, Vivo’s custom software layer built on top of Android.
