Xiaomi’s Redmi brand is gearing up to take its newest Note-series phones beyond China, and fresh leaks are now giving us a clearer picture of what buyers in India and other global markets might have to pay.
The Redmi Note 17 lineup officially debuted in China earlier this month, and Redmi has already started dropping hints about an Indian launch. Now, ahead of any official global announcement, alleged pricing and configuration details for four different Note 17 models have leaked online.
Redmi Note 17 4G: The Entry Point
At the bottom of the lineup sits the standard Redmi Note 17 4G. According to the leak, the base variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage could be priced around EUR 250, which converts to roughly Rs. 27,000. Stepping up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is said to push the price to about EUR 300, or roughly Rs. 33,000. This model is rumored to launch in three color options: Black, Blue, and Purple.
Redmi Note 17 5G: A Step Up in Connectivity and Price
Next up is the Redmi Note 17 5G, which — as the name suggests — adds 5G connectivity over its 4G sibling. The leak suggests its 6GB + 256GB configuration could carry a price of around EUR 400, translating to approximately Rs. 44,000.
Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G
The Pro variant is tipped to command a noticeably higher price. With the same 6GB RAM and 256GB storage combination, the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G is expected to be priced around EUR 500, or roughly Rs. 55,000.
Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G: The Flagship of the Series
Topping the lineup is the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G. Its base configuration is said to include 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with a leaked price tag of approximately EUR 600 — around Rs. 65,000.
How Does This Compare to China Pricing?
For context, here’s what the series costs in Xiaomi’s home market:
- Redmi Note 17: CNY 1,299 (~Rs. 18,000) for 6GB + 128GB, CNY 1,399 (~Rs. 20,000) for 8GB + 128GB, and CNY 1,599 (~Rs. 23,000) for 8GB + 256GB
- Redmi Note 17 Pro: Starts at CNY 1,599 (~Rs. 22,700) for the 8GB + 128GB variant
As is typical with Xiaomi and Redmi devices, global pricing tends to run noticeably higher than what buyers in China pay for the same hardware, largely due to import duties, taxes, and regional market positioning.
