Apple May Use Nvidia Blackwell Chips to Power New Siri AI Upgrade at WWDC 2026

Apple is reportedly preparing one of the biggest Siri upgrades in years, and Nvidia could play an important role in powering the new AI experience.

According to recent reports, Apple may use Google’s Gemini AI models to improve Siri, while some of the computing work could run on Nvidia’s Blackwell B200 data-center chips through Google Cloud. This means Apple may not rely only on its own servers for the next version of Siri, especially as AI features become more powerful and require more computing power.

The Nvidia Blackwell B200 chips are designed for advanced AI tasks, including running large language models and handling demanding AI workloads. Nvidia also offers confidential computing features, which are designed to help protect sensitive data while it is being processed.

This matters because Apple has always focused heavily on privacy. At WWDC 2024, Apple introduced Private Cloud Compute as part of Apple Intelligence, giving users more confidence that their personal data could stay protected even when some AI tasks needed cloud processing.

With a more advanced version of Siri expected, Apple may need extra AI power from outside partners like Google and Nvidia. That would be a major shift for Apple, a company known for controlling many parts of its hardware, software, and services.

Apple’s Siri plans for WWDC 2026:

The upgraded Siri is expected to be more useful than the current version. Reports suggest it may understand personal context, recognize what is on a user’s screen, and perform multi-step actions across apps. Apple may also introduce a more chatbot-style Siri experience, where users can ask questions, continue conversations, and possibly upload images or files.

There are also rumours that Siri could get a new look inside the Dynamic Island, with a fresh animation and a new “Search or Ask” bar. This would make Siri feel more modern and easier to access on newer iPhones.

However, nothing is fully confirmed until Apple makes an official announcement. WWDC 2026 is expected to reveal more details about Apple’s AI plans, Siri’s future, and how the company plans to balance powerful cloud AI with its strong privacy message.

If these reports are accurate, the new Siri could become one of Apple’s most important software upgrades in a long time. It could also show that Apple is ready to work more closely with companies like Google and Nvidia to compete in the fast-growing AI space.
