The Sony Xperia L4 sports a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with a 720 x 1680 pixel resolution — not the sharpest panel around, but perfectly usable for everyday browsing, video, and social media. It launched in February 2020 in two colours: black and blue, with a textured back that gives it a premium feel despite the modest price point.
Camera-wise, Sony went with a triple rear setup: a 13MP main wide lens, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. The front camera is an 8MP shooter — solid for selfies and video calls. The phone is compact enough to use one-handed, which is a nice touch for a 6.2-inch device.
Under the hood, the Xperia L4 runs on 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It shipped with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Connectivity is well covered with Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, USB 2.0, and FM radio built in. Biometrics are handled by a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and the usual sensors — accelerometer, proximity, and compass — are all present.
The battery is a non-removable 3,580mAh Li-Ion cell with support for fast charging and USB Power Delivery, which is a pleasant addition at this price tier.
